The Durance River of France measures up to a length of 33 euro0 km. A prominent water body in the south-eastern France, the river is the left tributary of Rhone. Rising from the south-western Alps, the river gets past through the ski resort of Montgenèvre close to Briançon. It finally concludes its journey as it falls into the river Rhone near to Avigon. The stunning river has two major tributaries as well, namely Bleone and Verdon.
The Durance valley is ideally located between the beautiful towns of Guillestre and Embrun. This magnifcient section of whitewater begins with the Guil river, then the Durance all the way to the Serre-Poncon lake. All day long we will have time to play in whitewater, enjoy the scenery, laugh and have a lunch by the river wave called le "Rabioux". For the children and the parents who want something mellow: the boats are Rafts. For the teenager and the more adventurous parents, there is the possibility to follow in an inflatable kayak, canoe or with a riverboard. .
